The direct population of Ucluelet is 1,652 people. The surrounding region, which is also serviced by Ucluelet, totals about 3000 additional residents. The services Ucluelet provides consist of social, retail, health, emergency services, and more.

From mid March until mid October, which is the primary visitor season and fishing seasons, the population is significantly higher.

Ucluelet has a large and varied industry labour force with just less than 1000 workers in the total experienced labour force. It is interesting to note the category “other services” was the highest reported industry. This could be due to tourism-related labour. Tourism is emerging as a major component of the industry labour force in Ucluelet.
