We are most blessed to live in area of such natural beauty on the open Pacific Ocean and peripheral to a national park and a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

In addition to natural attributes, Ucluelet is equally proud of our community spirit and our commitment to economic diversification. We have created the Ucluelet Economic Development Corporation to act as a catalyst for future growth. We have, in concert with First Nations partners, developed an eco-industrial park to serve the entire region. We have recently crafted a revised Official Community Plan and purchased lands and provided seed funding to create a strategically located regional visitor centre.

We’re justifiably proud of the great many features available to our businesses, residents and visitors. Located on the West Coast of Vancouver Island we are within a days drive of nearly five million people. Our weather is tempered by the Pacific Ocean and is one of the most moderate in Canada. Our extensive, sandy beaches are perfect for family outings. Our sport fishing is arguably the finest in Canada. Our citizens are among the most friendly and helpful people found anywhere. There’s a plethora of year ‘round outdoor activities in the area. There are first class and friendly shopping facilities and excellent professional services.
