DEPARTMENTS and STAFF
While Mayor and Council are responsible for policy making, municipal staff are responsible for translating policy into action and delivering various municipal objectives and services such as public works, community development, administration and finance, emergency services, regulatory services, and parks and recreation. The support staff at the municipal office assist in the daily administrative functions and maitenance operations. The Chief Administrative Officer reports to Mayor and Council and oversees the overall administration of the corporate body of the District, its officers and employees. In addition, the CAO is charged with keeping Council up to date on corporate matters and ensuring that Council policy is implemented and bylaws are enforced.
