In addition to its natural attributes, Ucluelet is equally proud of our community spirit and our commitment to economic diversification. We have created the Ucluelet Economic Development Corporation to act a catalyst for future growth. We have, in concert with First Nations partners, developed an eco-industrial park to serve the entire region. We have crafted a revised Official Community Plan and purchased lands and provided funding to create a strategically located regional visitor centre.
We’re justifiably proud of the great many features available to our businesses, residents, and visitors. Located on the West Coast of Vancouver Island we are within a day’s drive of nearly five million people. Our weather is tempered by the Pacific Ocean and is one of the most moderate in Canada. Our extensive, sandy beaches are perfect for family outings. Our sport fishing is arguably the finest in Canada. Our citizens are among the most friendly and helpful people found anywhere. There’s a plethora of year round recreational activities in the region. There are first class dining and shopping facilities and excellent professional services.
